t JAG, we know that affordable housing is more than a roof overhead — it’s a platform for healing, stability and new beginnings. That’s why we pour heart and intention into every detail of our interior design work — from the furniture selections to the wall art — especially for communities supporting residents coming out of trauma and chronic housing insecurity.

One of our latest projects, River Rock in Sacramento, exemplifies this mission.

Developed by Jamboree Housing, River Rock offers 88 thoughtfully designed apartments enriched with services and amenities tailored for individuals and families rebuilding their lives — many transitioning from homelessness.

Vision met craftsmanship on Installation Day at River Rock — where our team brought creativity, purpose and pride into every room.

“Thoughtful design provides a springboard toward a fresh start — for residents and staff alike.”

From curated color palettes to comforting textures and functional layouts, we designed every space at River Rock to reflect dignity, warmth and beauty — supporting Jamboree’s vision of service-enriched living. We’re honored to partner with organizations like Jamboree that recognize the power of environment in shaping futures.

JAG Always Creates A Fresh Perspective

Art has the power to calm, uplift and inspire. For residents overcoming hardship, the right artwork offers peace and connection. In shared spaces like lobbies and community rooms, it helps spark conversation and build relationships. In management areas — like offices and conference rooms — it adds warmth and professionalism while supporting the mission-driven nature of the work.

Vibrant murals and curated artwork set the tone from the moment residents, staff and visitors walk through the door — and custom millwork adds dynamic energy, architectural interest and memorability.

Artistic touches do more than decorate — they humanize the space, reflect the local culture and reinforce a sense of belonging.

Key Components in JAG’s Vision-to-Execution Strategy:

  • Creating cohesion with a unified color palette and theme
  • Prioritizing inclusive imagery with a positive message
  • The use of durable, low-maintenance materials in high-traffic areas, and strategic placement of higher-end pieces in less traveled spaces
  • Celebrating the surrounding community by partnering with local artists and highlighting regional culture

Selecting artwork is not an afterthought — it’s a meaningful part of JAG’s design process.

At River Rock and every community we design, JAG uses art to convey an overall feeling of resilience and peace of mind — as we set the stage for individuals and families to start a whole new chapter on their path to renewal.
