Linc Housing
Azure
At Linc Housing’s Azure community in Anaheim, JAG designed shared and private spaces to reflect the builder’s intent — balancing function, durability and a sense of possibility. The community’s name draws inspiration from the Azure butterfly, an intentional nod to positive, life-affirming change. We reflected that theme throughout the property in artwork and murals, offering visual cues of progress and new beginnings.
Previously a 119-room motel, Azure at North Harbor has been reimagined as 87 affordable apartments, creating permanent housing along a walkable Anaheim corridor near transit and neighborhood services. The adaptive reuse reflects California’s Project Homekey goals — delivering housing quickly while prioritizing long-term livability.
Azure is part of a broader, coordinated Homekey effort by Linc Housing. To date, the organization has completed four Project Homekey communities — delivering nearly 400 affordable apartments — all carrying butterfly names that reflect the shared catalyst theme.
